Record pass, concern, or not checked.

Elbow clearanceStraps remain on the rib cage and out of the armpits.

Shoulder freedomThe front edge does not interfere with the shoulder joint.

Stable through turnsThe harness does not rotate, gape, or visibly slip.

Controlled reverse checkGentle backward pressure cannot draw the opening over the shoulders or head.

Comfortable behaviorNo coughing, freezing, repeated scratching, or panic.

How the chart result works

Chart match means the entered chest girth falls inside one published candidate range. Borderline means ranges overlap or the number sits on a boundary. Conflict means it falls outside the stored chart or another published limit is unresolved. Insufficient data means the tool refuses to guess.

When to stop

Stop and reassess for coughing, altered gait, rubbing, broken skin, hair loss, repeated freezing or scratching, damaged hardware, slipping straps, or any successful escape. Vehicle restraint, lifting, load-bearing work, and medical support require task-specific evidence beyond this walking fit trial.
